You are staying in someone's home and we expect you to take care of it as if it were your own. We provide basic cleaning supplies, a couple of garbage bags, a roll of paper towels, and a roll of toilet paper in each bath. You will need to provide any other cleaning supplies (fragrance free) or paper products you may need for your stay. Soap, shampoo, personal items, coffee, food, etc. are not provided Please help us: • Keep the sand outside! Rinse your feet downstairs when returning from the beach and hang your sandy beach towels outside to dry. • Do not take the deck chairs or any household items to the beach. • No wet bathing suits, towels or suntan oiled skin on the furniture! There is an outdoor shower, and drying rack for your wet suits and towels. • Be courteous to your neighbors and keep the level of noise outside down after 9pm. • No trash or cigarette butts are to be left in yard or on decks. • Lock the home behind you when you leave; during your stay, and at check-out. • Do not allow cooking oil & grease down the drains. This will cause pipes to clog with lengthy down time and billable repairs. • Attracting bears can be a problem. Place all non-food trash in the cans provided, all table scraps and food waste should be kept in the freezer until check-out. • Dispose of all fish cleaning waste properly and do not place any food waste in the outside trash can as this will attract bears. There is a very nice fish cleaning station for fish waste disposal at the city boat ramp on Marine Street. • Follow the Heating and Cooling instructions on the AC Thermostat for each floor. Do not run the air-conditioning or heat with the doors and/or windows open. This will cause AC system failure with lengthy down time and billable repairs. Please remember that you are not staying in a hotel – the air conditioning unit is not built to “suddenly” cool the whole home; it must be done gradually as in your own home. • The refrigerator is already set correctly. Changing it will not speed the cooling process and could cause system failure with lengthy down time and/or billable repairs. • Please conserve the utilities. Turn off lights and fans when away from the home and when you check-out. Check to be sure the outside shower & faucet have been turned off. Helping to keep the utility bills down for our owners allows us to keep our rates lower. Check-Out: When you leave, please take all trash to the can provided downstairs. Fill and run the dishwasher. Check to make sure all windows are completely closed. Lock all the doors and return your key to the lock box using the instructions above – scramble the numbers and make sure the key is secure.
